God fights our Battles!!

Wow...three months has flown by. It is weird to say I miss school..and oddly I miss Abilene. The transition from Abilene to the Dallas area was hard and definitely took a toll on our finances and my income, but things are starting to return to a semi-normal state. I am working full time and Cody is at home with Stetson. We are enjoying making the house ours and we look forward to changing somethings about it as well when we have the money.

We thank anyone and everyone for any prayers they may have lifted up on our behalf. Satan was attacking in is so many ways these past three months and it seemed to be a never ending attack, just one thing after another. We have made it through all of the troubles we have had with Faith and perseverance that God would lead us out of this attack and we would be triumphant in the end. Although we are still recovering from his attacks we see where God as fought this battle for us and we worship him everyday for that.

We are still trying for baby #2, that is all that I wanna sayabout that at the moment, it is a sensitive topic. But Our little baby boy is not longer a little baby boy...he turned three two weeks ago and he is definitely keeping us on our toes. I can't believe it has been three years...I love that Boy with all my heart and am so thankful to have him in my life. The scary thing I have been thinking about lately is that he will start school in two years....and if these next two years fly by like the past three...I will be one of those crying mom's, I miss my baby boy. He is truly amazing. I will post pics ASAP!!

Well, I guess that is all for now...I love you all and miss you! Hope all is well and the Lord Blesses your daily walk.

One month

Well, I have been working for a month now and alot has happened during this month...
It was a week the first week, I trained the first two days and the facility just happened to be about 1.5 to 2 hours from my parents house (where I was staying at the time), WELL on day two I was about one mile from the facility WHEN MY CAR DIED!! thats right it died..it was not the gas, it was the alternator. we had to have it towed and then the lady who was training me said that her husband was a mechanic and he would do it for free, but we had to wait for him to get off work. Well I got off work at three and had to sit outside until 6:30 when he showed up. Needless to say it got fixed and we got back to my parents house at 9:30..long long long day, but it was finally over. The rest of the month proceeded fine, until I had a blowout with one of my tires about two weeks after the first car incident. Needless to say I was about ready to cry, but didn't...just had my husband come to me and fix it and all was ok.

Also, another thing going on this week was our house hunting. It was crazy at first...we found a house and loved it, but the day we put in an offer, so did someone else and they got the house. so we continued to look and we were giving up hope until we found a great house that we both loved (it was still not as good as the first house, but still great) and we made an offer and WE GOT THE HOUSE!!!! YAY!! We close on July 20th and finally have a place to call home. The best part is that it is about 10 minutes from my job!! no more traffic!

Another exciting moment since I started was my first paycheck....I got it today and it was amazing to know that I earned all this money! It was such a good feeling...and the people at work were excited for me and took a picture of me opening the check and with the check. I love the people I work with and I am slowly getting better at my job...

Cody is still working on his degree and transferring to a school in this area. But he is doing great and although he is not enjoying the school work, but is ready to have his degree (ahhh I remember that feeling lol)...

Stetson is continuing to grow and getting so smart...I miss my quality time with him, but feel good that I can provide him with so many important things in life...

Well it has been a crazy month, but a great one and I am so excited to finally move forward with my life..thanks for prayers, and continue to pray for me and my family.

Britni Brannon M.S CFY/SLP....say what?!

Well, I received my license in the mail today and I start work on Monday June 1, 2009. Can't believe it is finally here, but so glad it is. I have been waiting for this day for a long time, starting a real job, with real income...wow it will be great!! I am nervous and scared and I don't know what the next month will do to my stress level or how many times I will cry or freak out because I feel like I have no idea what I am doing, but this moment was bound to come sooner or later...I guess it was just sooner rather than later. I just want those who read this to offer up a little prayer for me that I make it through my first week without any real breakdowns. I will let yall know how it goes!! AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH ok I think I got it out of my system...for now at least :)

This being the first post I will just inform everyone of what is going on in our lives. I just graduated from Abilene Christian University with my Master's Degree in Speech Pathology. I recently accepted a job in the Dallas area and we will be moving there this summer for me to begin work as a Speech Therapist at a Nursing home. Cody has just begun school for Computer Networking, he will be transfereing to a college in the Dallas area in the Fall and should be finished with school in about two years. Stetson is growing everyday and expanding his vocabulary. He is getting so big and I definitely miss my little baby boy. He loves anything to do with trucks, tractors, cows, horses or pigs. A true boy at heart he loves to be outside and playing in nature. He is naturally a three year and testing how far he can push himself before he gets into trouble. He is also a natural jokester..he loves to make people laugh and is always trying to make people laugh. He is very shy when you first meet him, but warms up quickly and will soon be pulling you to come play with him....well I guess that is all there will be more updates as we move and our family continues to grow and develop!
